Throughout the month of March, Elmont Memorial High School student Jayden Warren participated in the Harry Chapin Practice-A-Thon to benefit Long Island Cares, Inc.-The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Jayden sought pledges from family members for each minute she practiced her flute in March under the direction of music teacher Christine Johnson. In all, she practiced 456 minutes and collected $118.56 for the charitable organization.
